NT - Negotiation Technology
The program we recommend following Persuasion Technology in the Persuasion Technology™ curriculum is Negotiation Technology™. Negotiation Technology™ is probably the most underused program in the Persuasion Technology curriculum. It is a fantastic follow-up program to Persuasion Technology and we strongly recommend it prior to Persuasion Technology - Live Simulations or Leadership Technology™ for any staff that have already attended a Persuasion Technology program with JSRI.
Negotiation Technology goes beyond the traditional negotiation models built on compromise and builds instead on a premise of "Unilateral Negotiation" without compromise. The idea behind "Unilateral Negotiation" is that even when the other party is not open to or interested in negotiating it is still possible to achieve your results. The basis of this style of negotiation is operating from a strategic orientation. Instead of interacting based solely in-time, the interaction is operated in relation to the future intended outcome. Using this orientation the critical path to the result is organized and becomes the pattern for the interaction.
We utilize material gained from studying some of the most successful negotiators from business, politics, law and other fields of professional communication and interaction. Instead of training in techniques and "gambits" Negotiation Technology presents negotiation as a strategy from which these techniques are generated.
