Communication Technology
™ was originally designed for operations professionals in organizations that we've worked with, who had previously only provided "technical" training opportunities for this group. The intention then, and now, of this program was to fill a gap in professional developmental training for this group. This gap was the opportunity to focus their attention during an intensive developmental training experience on their face-to-face communication skills. While this group of professionals typically has both competence and deep skill in the technical aspect of their position, they are sometimes missing the same level of competence and skills in their ability to:
- Build rapport
- Convey their ideas to others
- Operate with others on teams
- Participate effectively in meetings
- Work with external sources such as suppliers, technical specialists and clients
In these and similar situations we've found that participation in the professional training offered in the Communication Technology™ program has substantially fulfilled filling in this gap in skills with significant skill. After this program it is typical for us to receive comments from the participant's direct supervisor and the participants themselves regarding how they have shifted their attitude about and performance in relation to face-to face interaction, meetings and dealing with external sources - especially clients!
